Spring Youth Service Day

Each April, Alpha Phi Omega chapters join together for Spring Youth Service Day. Over the weekend, chapters commit to serving the youth of all nations in unique and meaningful ways. The weekend in planned in conjunction with Global Youth Service Day, planned by Alpha Phi Omega’s national partner, Youth Service America. Since its introduction to the national fraternity in 2001, the weekend continues to be one of Alpha Phi Omega’s largest service events!

In Spring 2013, the Delta Kappa chapter reintroduced Spring Youth Service Day to the campus. The chapter collected books and raised funds to buy additional books for Clairemont Elementary School, just a few miles away from campus. The campaign raised over $725 dollars and over 144 books were donated. The award-winning project was a great success and built enthusiasm for future Spring Youth Service Days including our most recent worth with children with autism!
